Spectator Protocols

Fans are encouraged to limit the number of items they bring to Godley ISD venues. Fans will be able to carry one (1) of the following through facility gates or when approaching lines awaiting entry into the facility: 

  • A bag that is clear plastic, vinyl, or PVC and does not exceed 12″ x 6″ x 12” 
  • One-gallon clear plastic freezer bag (Ziploc bag or similar) 
  • Small clutch bag, approximately the size of a hand but not larger than 8.5″ x 4.5,″ with or without a handle or strap
  • An exception will be made for medically necessary items after proper inspection
  • Diaper bags are allowed when accompanied by an infant

Prohibited Items:

  • Purses larger than a clutch bag, coolers, briefcases, backpacks, cinch bags, luggage of any kind, computer bags, camera bags, fanny packs, or any bag larger than the permissible size
  • Clear bags larger than 12”x 6”x 12” and all non-clear bags larger than 8.5” x 4.5,” including purses, binoculars, and camera cases
  • Outside food or drink* (exceptions for approved catering)
  • Bottles, cans, and beverage containers of any kind*
  • Coolers*
  • Alcohol
  • Animals (except service dogs to aid guests with disabilities)
  • Balls (including but not limited to football, soccer, baseball, softball, etc.)
  • Drones and any other unmanned, remote-controlled aircraft systems
  • E-cigarettes and vaporizers
  • Fireworks, firearms, and weapons of any kind
  • Laser pointers
  • Any other item or action deemed dangerous or inappropriate

Prohibited Actions:

  • Abusive, foul, or disruptive language or clothing 
  • Fighting, taunting, or threatening remarks or gestures 
  • Intoxication or other signs of impairment related to alcohol consumption or other drug use
  • Trespassing, soliciting, peddling, and loitering 
  • No In and Out privileges

*Exceptions will be made for those with medical requirements and/or special needs.


All persons and/or their belongings are subject to search as a condition of entry into any GISD Venue

Any child eighth grade or younger must be accompanied by an adult to attend high school events

High School students attending GISD events using the athletic pass for free admission must present their student ID at the gate

All Administrators for UIL-sanctioned sports within the Godley ISD, as well as District/Non-District ISD’s, will follow the “UIL Behavior Expectations of Spectators” as outlined in the guidelines of the UIL and can be found in the Godley ISD Parent/Student-Athlete Handbook. This includes administrator designees assigned by Godley ISD administrators or UIL member institutions. Your support for Godley ISD is appreciated. 

  • 1st Offense: Warning
    • Any person violating the prohibited actions listed below or the Behavior Expectations of Spectators will be asked to stop the behavior, or they will be asked to leave under the second offense policy.
      • Game officials are not required to warn a spectator before request of removal (Texas Education Code §37.105)
  • 2nd Offense: Removal
    • Any person committing a second offense or an action deemed severe enough is subject to immediate removal. After such removal, the offender is required to meet with Godley ISD Administration before returning to any GISD event. This includes ejections initiated by game officials.
  • 3rd Offense: 30-Day Suspension
    • Any person committing a third offense is subject to a 30 calendar day suspension from all events held at Godley ISD. This may carry over into the next school year if the suspension takes place within 30 days of the end of school. During this period, a meeting with GISD Administration is required before returning to any GISD event. This includes ejections initiated by game officials.
  • 4th Offense: Calendar Year Suspension
    • Any person committing a fourth offense is subject to suspension for a full calendar year. A meeting with Godley ISD Administration will be required before returning to any GISD event. This includes ejections initiated by game officials.

***Any incident involving threats, physical altercations, or severe behaviors could result in permanent suspension from any Godley ISD event or property. For further clarification, please read the “Behavior Expectations of Spectators” along with the “Parent/Coach Relationship” from the UIL Parent Manual.
