Zach Tarrant

Zach Tarrant became principal of Godley Middle School in 2026, bringing more than 20 years of experience in education and organizational leadership.

Prior to joining Godley ISD, Tarrant served as principal of McAnally Intermediate School and assistant principal of Aledo Middle School. During his time in Aledo ISD, he focused on instructional leadership, campus culture, student achievement, school safety and staff development. He began his career in education as a social studies teacher and coach, serving students in Mansfield ISD and Fort Worth ISD.

In addition to his educational experience, Tarrant has held executive leadership roles in the private sector, overseeing organizational growth, workforce development and strategic planning. He also serves on the Aledo ISD Board of Trustees, providing governance and oversight for one of the fastest-growing school districts in Texas.

Tarrant earned a Bachelor of Science degree in political science from Sam Houston State University and a Master of Education degree in educational administration from Tarleton State University. He holds Texas certifications in both educational administration and secondary social studies.

As principal of Godley Middle School, Tarrant is committed to fostering a positive school culture, supporting student success, building strong relationships with families and staff, and ensuring every student is challenged, supported and prepared for future success.
